APREL members are spread throughout Australia. Some
religious communities hold membership as communities. Individual religious also belong, as do
some diocesan priests and various members of the laity - young and old from
many different walks of life. Some Bishops hold membership - and a number have
enrolled their Dioceses in the Association.
Membership of APREL is
open to those who:
- support
the basic objective of the Association, which is to foster authentic
Religious Life according to the teachings of the Church, and to encourage
true religious vocations.
- further
the apostolate of the Association by practical support and by prayer. An important part of the member's
contribution is the commitment to weekly prayer, preferably before the
Blessed Sacrament, or an extra Mass for the intention of vocations.
- pay
an membership fee in the form of a subscription to the APREL bulletin.
Individual: $15
Pensioner or Student: $10
Members receive an
annual APREL BULLETIN, which is also our acknowledgement
of membership offering.
